Why we’re building dotbox

Because periods deserve better than silence and last-minute survival.

dotbox was created from lived experience: planning life around symptoms, pushing through discomfort, and realizing how little everyday support exists for something so many people experience.

We’re building a kinder, more useful kind of subscription—one rooted in comfort, education, dignity, and menstrual equity.

Two friends. One big idea.

Meet the founders

Created by women who understand.

dotbox did not begin in a boardroom. It began with two friends who were tired of seeing painful periods, irregular cycles, hormonal conditions, and pelvic-health struggles treated like things people should simply push through.

Ashlie lives with PCOS. Sara lives with Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. Together, we know what it feels like to plan life around symptoms, search for comfort, and wonder why everyday care so often feels like an afterthought.

“What if self-care arrived exactly when you needed it most?”

That question became dotbox: a thoughtfully timed care package filled with comfort, education, encouragement, and small moments of joy. More than products, we want every box to feel like a reminder that someone understands—and that you are not alone.

Our promise

More than a subscription box.

We are building a community where people feel seen, supported, and empowered through every season of cycle care.

From first periods and PCOS to postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, and the many experiences in between, our goal is simple: make care feel more personal, more useful, and much less lonely.
